Nonograms

About game

Nonograms, also known as Picross or Griddlers, is a type of logic puzzle that involves filling in squares on a grid to reveal a hidden picture. The grid is usually rectangular and is divided into rows and columns, with each row and column having a series of numbers that represent the lengths of consecutive black squares in that row or column.

To solve a Nonogram puzzle, you must use logic and deduction to determine which squares should be filled in black and which should be marked with an X. The numbers next to each row and column give you clues about which squares are black and which are empty. For example, if a row has the number "3 1," this means there are runs of three consecutive black squares followed by a single black square, with at least one empty square between each run.

Nonograms can vary in difficulty, with some puzzles being relatively easy and others being quite challenging. Some Nonograms have a single solution, while others may have multiple solutions or even no solution at all.

Features:

  • Nonograms are logic puzzles that involve filling in squares on a grid to reveal a hidden picture.
  • Puzzles can range in size and complexity, with larger puzzles generally being more challenging.
  • Nonograms may be presented in black and white or in color, with color puzzles requiring the player to fill in squares with different colors instead of black.

Rules:

  • A Nonogram puzzle starts with a blank grid of squares.
  • Beside each row and above each column of the grid are numbers that indicate the lengths of consecutive black squares in that row or column.
  • Using these numbers as clues, the player must fill in the appropriate squares to create a picture.
  • Squares that are filled in black must form a continuous line of squares in each row and column.
  • Squares that are marked with an X cannot be filled in black.
  • The objective is to fill in all of the squares that should be black and mark all of the squares that should be marked with an X.
