Katapat

Katapat is a word-guessing game based on the popular word game Wordle but adapted specifically for Bahasa Malaysia words. It has gained popularity due to its simplicity and the challenge it presents. The name "Katapat" is derived from the Bahasa Malaysia words "kata" (word) and "tepat" (accurate).

Here's how to play Katapat:

  1. The game features a 1-grid system where you focus your attention on guessing a word as quickly as possible.

  2. You are given six daily attempts to solve the challenge. Each attempt involves guessing a word that matches the hidden word.

  3. The hidden word is a valid Bahasa Malaysia word and consists of five letters.

  4. After each guess, the game provides feedback to help you narrow down the word. The feedback is based on the letters you used in your guess and their positions in the hidden word.

  5. If a letter in your guess matches a letter in the hidden word and is in the correct position, it will be indicated by turning red.

  6. If a letter in your guess matches a letter in the hidden word but is not in the correct position, it will be indicated by turning yellow.

  7. If a letter in your guess is not present in the hidden word at all, it will be greyed out.

  8. You can submit your guess by pressing the enter button.

  9. The color of the tiles will change after each guess to show how close you were to the hidden word.

  10. A new word is generated every day at 12AM, providing a fresh challenge for players.

The goal of Katapat is to use your six attempts effectively to guess the hidden word by analyzing the feedback provided after each guess. The game requires a combination of word knowledge, deduction, and strategy to succeed.

It's worth noting that Katapat is a free word-guessing game that can be played online without the need for downloading or installing any additional software.

Enjoy playing Katapat and challenging yourself with Bahasa Malaysia words!
